Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Controlling Architect specializing in Actual
Costing, Cost Center Accounting, Intercompany Allocations, and Manufacturing
Accounting for a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation within the
telecommunications industry. This role will be responsible for architecting and
implementing a robust SAP Controlling (CO) solution to support end-to-end cost
management, financial transparency, intercompany processes, and manufacturing
accounting. The SAP Controlling Architect will work closely with finance, operations,
and production teams to develop scalable, efficient processes within S/4HANA, aligned
with telecom industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of the SAP Controlling (CO)
module, including Actual Costing, Cost Center Accounting, Intercompany
Allocations, and Manufacturing Accounting, within a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA
implementation.
Define and implement cost management and allocation processes that address
telecom-specific financial requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
Architect intercompany allocation processes to support accurate cross-company
cost distributions, compliance, and reporting across telecom entities.
Develop and implement manufacturing accounting processes, including product
costing, activity-based costing, and variance analysis, to enable accurate costing
in production and inventory valuation.
Ensure integration of CO with other SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, PP) and third-
party systems to maintain data consistency and comprehensive financial
reporting.
Collaborate with finance, manufacturing, and IT teams to gather requirements
and provide SAP CO solutions that enhance cost transparency, profitability
analysis, and compliance.
Define a project roadmap for Controlling and Manufacturing Accounting,
including milestones, testing, training, and change management for a successful
go-live.
Provide expertise on Actual Costing, overhead allocation, and Manufacturing
Accounting, including the setup of automated overhead calculations, production
order costing, and real-time financial insights.
Mentor and guide the SAP CO project team, ensuring adherence to SAP Activate
methodology and best practices specific to Controlling and Manufacturing
Accounting.
Establish and enforce governance, documentation standards, and compliance
controls to ensure scalability, accuracy, and integrity of Controlling and
Manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering,
Information Systems, or a related field; a Master s degree or professional
finance/accounting certification is a plus.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in SAP Controlling, with a focus on
S/4HANA implementations and expertise in Actual Costing, Cost Center
Accounting, Intercompany Allocations, and Manufacturing Accounting.
SAP Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Controlling, including
Product Costing, Cost Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), and
intercompany allocations.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in the telecommunications industry, with an
understanding of telecom-specific cost allocation, regulatory requirements, and
intercompany and manufacturing accounting processes.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud, and data
integration tools to support enhanced financial reporting, analysis, and
automation.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with
the ability to collaborate across departments and lead technical teams effectively.
Preferred Skills:
SAP Certification in S/4HANA Controlling or Finance.
Project management experience with SAP Activate and Agile methodologies.
Understanding of telecom regulatory standards, IFRS 15 compliance, and cost allocation reqs.
