The NYC Office of Technology and Innovation is seeking a Functional Project Manager to assist OTI with implementation of datacenter technologies for key IT projects. Relevant experience in routing and switching, and datacenter technologies is required. Consult will be assisting OTI with architecture design planning and implementing changes.

Scope of Work: Network - Routing and Switching: design and deploy.
Tasks:

  • Participate and manage assigned elements of large IT infrastructure project related to datacenter technologies.
  • Propose datacenter technology solution to meet the business requirements and at the same time meet OTI's Best practices guidelines.
  • Discuss with the OTI's Architect team, program management, and business for any uniqueness in the solution proposed.
  • Expert level componence with ACI technology.

Mandatory Skills/Experience:
  • At least 8 years of project management experience implementing datacenter technologies for key IT projects. Experience in routing and switching, and datacenter technologies is required.
  • The following skills / expertise / experience are required as well:
    • Kubernetes
    • Azure
    • AWS
    • VMware
    • Terraform
    • Ansible
    • Helm
    • Azure DevOps
    • Pipelines
    • Bash and/or PowerShell scripting
    • At least 1 primary coding language such as: Python, NodeJS, Golang

Desirable Skill/Experience:
  • Hands on experience on mandatory skills

Additional Details:
  • Work Location: Remote
  • Scheduled Work Hours: Normal business hours Monday-Friday 35 hours/week (not including mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work).
  • Projected Assignment Start Date: December 2, 2024
  • Projected Assignment End Date: November 30, 2025
