Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively understand the business case, the reasons for requested changes, and the desired future state.

  • Break down complex problems and asks into well-rounded requirements (both functional and non-functional).
  • Communicate stakeholder goals and expected outcomes to the engineering/solution architect/principal engineering teams, and write definition-of-ready user stories, incorporating architectural changes recommended by engineering.

  • Maintain the product s technical roadmap and advocate for appropriate prioritization of non-functional work.
  • Build strong relationships with business and technology partners to establish trust with stakeholders.
  • Own a defined capability or technical product area, including product value, cost of ownership, and non-functional requirements (e.g., reliability, scalability, usability, security, performance).
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with business, BAT, and technology partners to foster teamwork and a shared understanding of the product vision, goals, and priorities.
  • Lead sprint planning, story refinement, and feature elaboration sessions with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Participate in planning sessions to create cohesive, iterative plans that support the completion of MVPs and epics in coordination with other teams.
  • Proactively resolve upstream dependencies and address conflicts across teams.
  • Participate in team standups and retrospectives, facilitating dialogue with stakeholders during sprint reviews and product demos.
  • Monitor and communicate technical product health metrics and KPIs, advocating for product improvements with business and technology partners.
  • Manage team capacity allocation to ensure appropriate levels are used for product health improvements and the reduction of technical debt (e.g., integration and deployment of tooling, test automation).
  • Utilize agility tools (e.g., Jira) and implement strategies to optimize team performance and achieve departmental objectives (e.g., manage story aging, manage WIP, epic size/throughput).

Skills and Experience:
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in business analysis, technology development, or product management.
  • Experience in the pharmacy industry is preferred.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Agile tools (Jira, Rally), and Business Process Modeling tools.

  • Strong technical, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to influence and build strong relationships across the organization.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
