Job Description
Role: AI Governance Consultant
The AI Governance Consultant will play a critical role in establishing and implementing governance frameworks for AI initiatives within our client organization. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI systems are transparent, accountable, and aligned with our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive AI governance frameworks that align with regulatory requirements and ethical standards relevant to the industry.
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures for the responsible use of AI, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments of AI models and systems, identifying potential ethical, legal, and reputational risks associated with their deployment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including data scientists, IT, legal, and compliance teams, to foster a culture of responsible AI use.
- Implement monitoring and auditing processes to ensure ongoing compliance with AI governance frameworks and to assess the effectiveness of AI systems.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and relevant committees on the status of AI governance initiatives, risks, and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or similar relevant field of study) and 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with AI or machine learning technologies.
- Broad understanding of emerging scientific trends and techniques in MLOps, privacy, interpretability, explainability, risk management, bias and fairness, hallucinations, etc.
- Experience in designing and implementing data governance standards
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, ethical issues in AI, and risks preferably in insurance industry
- Familiarity with relevant AI regulations and compliance requirements preferably in insurance industry
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive AI governance frameworks (such as NIST framework), policies, processes and standards to ensure responsible use of AI and risk mitigation/ management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of influencing and building relationships with diverse stakeholder groups including Data Science, non-technical leaders/ business users, Data Offices, Legal counsel and Data Governance teams.
Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certification (e.g., AI Ethics, Data Privacy).
