About the Role

As the Marketing Operations Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, managing, and optimizing the tools, platforms, and processes that enable our marketing team to execute campaigns effectively. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our marketing efforts by leveraging the current technology and selecting new technology when necessary to help the media buying, lifecycle, sales, and customer success teams achieve the company's growth targets.

You will report to the Director, Operations with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Performance and Lifecycle Marketing. You can be based remotely in the greater San Francisco, Seattle, or Miami area, OR hybrid (Tuesdays & Thursdays in-office) from our NYC headquarters.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of all marketing technology platforms, including marketing automation, CRO, alert monitoring, and more
  • Work with operations partners and data team to ensure seamless integration of marketing technology with other business systems, such as CRM and sales tools
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize the performance of the marketing tech stack, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and ROI
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including plans, reports, and records on all projects, process and tooling
  • Quickly diagnose and triage martech outages or data inaccuracies and project manage the recovery
  • Manage relationships with MarTech vendors, ensuring that tools are being utilized to their full potential and that contracts and renewals are managed effectively
  • Collaborate with the data and analytics teams to develop a robust data strategy that supports personalized marketing efforts, campaign targeting, and data hygiene
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending new tools and approaches that can enhance our marketing capabilities
  • Provide training and support to the marketing team and data engineering team on the use of technology platforms, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to understand business use cases and execute campaigns successfully with the right context
  • Ensure that all marketing technology practices comply with relevant data protection and privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and Apple and Google terms and conditions, specifically around the use and sharing of PII from pixel data and first party data with 3rd party platforms

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing technology or a related role, with a strong understanding of the marketing landscape
  • Deep expertise in marketing platforms (facebook, tiktok, google ads, linkedin, etc), data analytics tools, and other MarTech solutions
  • Experience with Iterable, Branch, Eppo, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Looker, Snowflake, and Google Firebase strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of managing and optimizing a marketing tech stack, with measurable improvements in performance
  • SQL proficiency or willingness to learn in the first three months strongly preferred
  • Strong project spec writing and project management skills with the ability to lead complex integrations and implementations across multiple cross functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about technology's role in marketing
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations and best practices for compliance

The starting base salary for this role in New York, California, and Washington is between $125,000-$150,000 + target equity + benefits. The base salary offered is dependent upon many factors including skills, experience, location, and education. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
