Applied Technology Services (ATS) seeking a Senior Project Manager. This is a 6-month contract.

Description:

  • Execution and delivery of enterprise programs and projects within scope, budgetary, schedule, benefit and quality commitments
  • Coordinating with other teams and application leadership as necessary to resolve schedule, issues, risks and other interdependency challenges
  • Work with agency leadership and product owners to generate and publish program or product roadmap
  • Align technology solutions with business strategies through the delivery of a portfolio of projects city wide, organize and lead project status and working meetings, facilitate commitment and productivity, develop plan to remove barriers and obstacles, prepare and distribute progress reports, manage the team in making business decisions related to implementation, modification and maintenance.
  • Matrix management of teams across the agency to ensure the team meets goals and expectations.
  • Use performance metrics to assess and evaluate, implement and facilitate guidelines and metrics to achieve a standardized approach to project execution, deliver an agile transformation plan to move from current state to a desired state, use standard project performance metrics to assess and evaluate the program, develop and update business process documentation for testing and training management, establish/apply quality objectives, criteria, standards and levels with input from applicable stakeholders (e.g. key performance indicators)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in business administration, management information systems or related field is required.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in building relationship and delivering programmatic value
  • Previous IT experience in government is preferred.
  • Equivalencies: An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills:

  • Industry thought leadership and collaborating to develop solutions that transform the industry, understanding the 'bigger picture' of the program and business impacts to initiatives.
  • Ability to build relationship across business, product, IT, finance teams at leadership level to influence positive outcomes and resolving bottlenecks/constraints.
  • Ability to host effective and recurring program status meeting with IT and business leadership
  • Ability to facilitate the identification and understanding of customer needs, gaps and opportunities from an industry appropriate perspective
  • Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Persuasive, consensus builder with the ability to influence decisions from top down and bottom up
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and financial analysis skills and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of citywide organization and functions and areas where merger, consolidation, shared services and other efficiencies may be achieved.
