Overview:
Under the direction of the VP of Global Marketing, the Marketing Manager – Skincare will lead the strategy, portfolio management, product development and go-to-market process (from concept to commercialization) of the Moroccanoil Skincare category.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Help lead the skincare portfolio strategy, identifying white space, innovation opportunity and line extensions to ensure a complete and efficient product line up;
- Lead the creation of product concepts, launch strategy and briefs;
- Drive ideation and execution of new product innovation working cross-functionally with teams including Product Development, Packaging Development, Design, Copy, Legal, Regulatory, International Marketing, Trade Marketing and Sales for on-time product launch execution;
- Partner closely with Product Development on product concept, positioning, development, all testing and claims, and communication of technologies and benefits;
- Responsible for initiating and tracking all packaging and promotional artwork from copy documents to final mechanicals;
- Manage innovation calendar, presenting concepts and white space opportunities to category leads, SVP/CEO/Founders;
- Develop marketing programs and product launch strategies considering positioning and concept; COG analysis, copy and pricing;
- Analyze sales data, industry trends, consumer insights, product reviews and competitive research to identify actionable insights;
- Lead the promotional strategy and cross-promotional support for Skincare including reanimation plans;
- Partner with forecasting teams to ensure strategic and accurate sales potential for upcoming launches;
- Interface with Regionals/Markets to ensure programs meet markets’ needs and specifics;
- Liaise with other category Marketing teams to ensure product mix and support strategy is aligned;
- Initiate creative assets in support of new launches, promotions and seasonal projects to be leveraged across all platforms (print, digital, in-store);
- Create, submit and track all marketing job requests in partnership with Creative Operations;
- Help prepare agendas, presentations and materials for up-coming meetings, both internal and external;
- Any others the Employer may consider essential in ensuring the normal operations of the Employer’s business processes and that falls into the category of expertise of the Employee;
Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field
- 3+ years of Skincare marketing experience required; preferably in luxury/premium categories
- Demonstrates clear passion for product and innovation within the beauty/cosmetics industry
- Has excellent leadership and development skills, presentation, communication, and project management skills
- Exposure to international markets and consumers
- Experience with marketing research (i.e. research platforms – WGSN, NPD, etc.)
- Ideal candidate has a blend of strategic, analytical thinking while being a creative innovative, passionate thinker
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
