Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manufacture quality blow molding machinery, auxiliary equipment, and sub-assemblies using various tools and equipment.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and Company safety standards.
- Build and manufacture items according to drawings and bills of material, meeting established production quality and quantity standards.
- Perform maintenance and repair of building equipment as assigned, including preventative maintenance.
- Operate power equipment and material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes).
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, and production personnel to resolve manufacturing problems and report material shortages.
- Develop specifications from general descriptions and create sketches of parts or products to be manufactured.
- Submit daily time accounting, payroll information, and other required paperwork.
- Assist with employee training and support other departments as needed.
- Proficiency in wiring sub-assemblies, cabinets, and machine assemblies using routings, drawings, and bill of materials.
- Ability to read and apply electrical schematics, documenting changes as needed.
- Experience with layout and prototype of electrical components, wireways, and conduit.
- Knowledge of electrical fittings, fasteners, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Familiarity with mainframe computers and ability to work with metric and standard inch systems.
- Skills in machine startup, checkout, and troubleshooting.
- Must possess personal hand tools for effective task performance.
