Title: Quality Engineer II
Hours: Full-time
Location: Brooklyn, NY. Hybrid office policy: 3-5 days a week, based on project needs. (#LI-Hybrid)
Reports to: Associate Director, Quality & Manufacturing
Compensation: A base salary range of $80,000-$95,000 gross per year, depending on candidate experience.

This Role:
BioLite is looking for a Quality Engineer II, who will lead product quality projects on BioLite s current line of outdoor recreation and humanitarian products. You ll manage a tracker of all open projects and issues, guide projects to closure, and maintain accuracy of product documentation and specifications. You'll oversee the quality of ongoing production, provide field quality feedback to the product development team, and play a critical role on the BioLite team. You Will:
- Maintain the status of a tracker containing all issues related to in-production products, managing prioritization and resourcing based on needs of the business, and reporting progress to partners across the business.
- Project manage individual issues, driving a team towards project goals, from project kickoff through closure. Create project schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans.
- Lead Root Cause/Corrective Action investigations from issue awareness through corrective action implementation through engagement with team members, customers, and overseas manufacturers. Document investigation progress and findings, for all partners.
- Support Failure Analysis of hardware, firmware, and mechanical issues.
- Lead Field Failure Data analysis and presentation.
- Lead product improvement programs on existing products.
- Maintain product documentation accuracy, including: product design and change control as related to quality issues, inspection guides, and internal specifications.
- Support the Customer Service team in rapid assessment of new issues as they are reported by customers.
- Champion process improvement: identify needs and implement solutions that support ongoing quality improvement at BioLite.
You Have:
- 2+ years of experience driving quality on hardware products.
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- Ability take ownership of quality-related programs.
- Experience with electronics failure analysis and fault diagnosis.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical design and manufacturing concepts.
- Familiarity with Consumer Electronics products or battery-powered products
- Familiarity with quality processes (Root Cause/Corrective Action, 5-Why, 8D, xFMEA, etc).
- Experience analyzing data from a variety of sources, create conclusions, and take data-driven actions.
- Experience communicating complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical team members of all backgrounds across the business.
- Experience managing and organizing project deliverables across several concurrent projects.
