Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director, Engineering, the Analyst, Engineering will engineer and manage projects from feasibility to completion, working with every aspect of the project and the rest of the organization to develop and build state of the art solar energy and battery storage systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial passion for renewable energy development and a desire to work with customers to transform the way they procure energy.
Responsibilities:
- Design solar arrays and model their performance using software such as Helioscope, PVsyst, and AutoCAD
- Work with the Origination and Project Development teams to prospect and develop new projects
- Perform onsite feasibility for prospective projects
- Coordinate with consultants for Civil, Electrical, Environmental, and Structural engineering feasibility
- Coordinate with vendors for major equipment procurement including: solar PV modules, inverters, mounting systems, battery-energy storage systems, and other balance-of-system components
- Assist in managing a portfolio of projects, including:
- Designing 10% drawings using AutoCAD
- Reviewing feasibility study documents from third part engineers
- Delegating stamped drawings to third party engineers, vetting the engineering drawings before milestone approval and submittal
- Applying for utility interconnection and seeing the project(s) through to approval
- Assisting the Project Development team in applying for permitting, seeing the project(s) through to approval
- Assisting in the building of the project by fielding RFIs in a time efficient manner
- Assisting in the testing and commissioning of the project
- Engage with the Asset Management team to ensure the projects being built are designed well, taking what is learned to future projects
Qualifications:
Must be passionate about the renewable energy business, hardworking and thrive in the fast pace of a rapidly growing company. In addition, the candidate must possess:
- Entry Level: 0-2 years of experience needed
- Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and the ability to think in 3-D with other software tools required
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 including Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Location: NY or Remote
At Aspen Power, our work model includes three ways of working: virtual, in-person, and hybrid (a hybrid of in-person and virtual). Job requires up to10% travel for site visits.
Compensation Range:
The salary range for this position is: $70,000 - $75,000., plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
Note that title and salary will be commensurate with candidate experience.
