Drupal Architect
US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust
Hybrid Remote 3 days onsite per week

Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking a highly skilled Drupal Architect to lead the design and development of complex Drupal-based solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Drupal architecture, best practices, and a proven track record of delivering successful Drupal projects. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills to guide development teams and ensure the successful implementation of Drupal solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and document Drupal architecture for complex projects, including system architecture, data architecture, and integration architecture.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Lead the design and development of custom Drupal modules and themes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
  • Ensure adherence to Drupal coding standards and best practices.
  • Optimize Drupal performance and scalability.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Drupal trends and technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of Drupal community and open-source projects.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Drupal development, with a strong focus on architecture.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Drupal core, modules, and APIs.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing complex Drupal-based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
  • Proficiency in PHP and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with Drupal distributions (Acquia, Pantheon).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Certifications in Drupal or related technologies.
