Summary: Will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping the company plan and administer essential functions, including but not limited to onboarding, training and development, compensation and benefits, and payroll.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises and manages the activities of the Human Resources Assistant. Conducts and reviews annual employee performance evaluations, coaching/mentoring, and/or training.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in HR, Business, or a related field; and 4+ years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: Must be able to perform basic mathematical equations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, use of whole numbers, and percentage and decimals.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, the individual should have superior knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and be comfortable learning new technology systems as needed.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described herein represent those that an employee must meet to successfully perform this job’s essential functions. While performing this job’s duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee occasionally must stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, use a keyboard, and reach with arms and hands. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
- Implement human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, compliance, and labor relations.
- Keeps up-to-date knowledge of HR federal and state laws/regulations, ensuring compliance throughout the company.
- Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate a smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with hiring managers to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HRIS/Payroll system and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees concerning absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and other employee relations matters.
- Payroll processing, including; bi-weekly and monthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick time, inputting exceptions and corrections, hourly employee validations, reviewing timesheets, and benefit changes.
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook, benefits guide, organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies.
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Organize annual employee performance reviews and provide guidance to review managers and supervisors.
- Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations.
- Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve the efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole and improve the employees’ experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy; and organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to be resourceful, have a problem-solving aptitude, and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records.
