As a Hardware Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the procurement, deployment, configuration and support of hardware and software items related to the Sharetec core software package for new and existing customers. This job requires strong analytical and technical abilities. It demands fast, but carefully thought-out results. Strong leadership and control of the work process from beginning to end is necessary. This job centers around developing new ideas, systems, and technology, as well as analyzing and improving on old ones. A high level of technical expertise is expected with the ability to spot and correct errors quickly is important. Work must always focus on accomplishing the goal quickly while demanding the highest quality.
This is a full-time, exempt position based in either Canfield, OH or Fort Wayne, IN. Sharetec offers a hybrid work model for its employees. The salary range for this position is: $55,000 - $65,000.

As a Hardware Project Engineer, you will:
- Procure and deploy all assigned hardware and software solutions to new and existing customers
- Managing of due dates for assigned projects where you are the owner of the project
- Provide excellent communication and client management skills to maintain positive customer relations
- Provide technical assistance and support via remote communications (either phone or email) for Windows and Linux operating systems
- Implementing virtual and physical hosts, Windows and Linux servers
- Install, diagnose, and support 3rd party software and drivers interfacing the Sharetec software
- Install, diagnose, and support peripheral issues interfacing the Sharetec software (Signature Pads, ID/Document scanners, Networked Printers, Cash Dispensers/Recyclers etc.)
- Install, diagnose, and support PC s, servers and networking equipment (Windows [PC and Server OS] and Linux [RHEL])
- Create, copy, disable or reset user accounts (Windows Active Directory, local, NT like domains, and within Linux)
- Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up, with rapid responsiveness, and thorough communication
- Conduct routine maintenance when directed
- Work with accounting to ensure all project billings are complete and accurate
- Conduct testing and lives up to expectations for customer cases
- Conduct customer training when applicable
- Conduct training and mentorship of Support and other Project Representatives
- Consulting Customers and Sales representatives to discover the proper Hardware and/or Software is being purchased to fulfil a given need
You should have:
- Preferred 2+ years experience deploying, supporting and troubleshooting PCs, Servers, Networks and Peripherals
- Basic networking skills with a strong understanding of WANs, LANs, vLANs, Subnets, IPSec and SSL VPNs.
- Associates or higher in Computer Science, Networking, IT or related field
- VMware ESXi experience a plus
- Experience with virtual and physical host infrastructures
