This is a Hybrid role in Philadelphia PA- candidates must go onsite to HQ 1 day a week. The office is easily commutable by car or train.

MUST HAVES:
- Strong TSQL knowledge PLUS ETL skills
- 5+ years of SQL Server/TSQL experience required
- Must have strong SSIS experience for ETL
- Snowflake experience is highly preferred
- Experience with Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory is a homerun!
- Any financial industry experience or payments industry experience is always a big plus but not required

Job Description
This role is with our client s exciting Database Engineering team. This team of data engineers design, build, and maintain all data-related aspects of our products directly or through collaboration with other development teams. This work includes design, creation, and maintenance of Data Structures, Database Objects, ETL processes and reporting visualizations. The primary technology runs on the Microsoft SQL Server 2022 stack.
In this role, you will collaborate with team members to design, create, and maintain Stored Procedures, ETL packages that are developed with SQL Server Integration Services. You will work independently and in small teams building SQL Server database objects and processes that support all of internal products.
Technical Expertise:
- Mastery of relational database concepts including but not limited to tables, keys, indexes, etc.
- 5+ years of experience developing the full range of objects in Microsoft SQL 2016 (or better) databases using SQL and T-SQL
- 4+ years of experience creating and maintaining ETL packages with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Ability to provide relevant experience with the following Microsoft data concepts:
- SSIS: Parameters, variables, expressions, parallelism, data flow development, export and import feeds to either OLTP or OLAP systems
- SSRS: Drill down, graphs, expressions, parameters, solution/project organization, data sets
- SQL/T-SQL: Can construct queries, DML and DDL statements that perform on large multi-terabyte databases.
- Working knowledge of Snowflake cloud data warehouse and Sigma Computing analytics platform is preferred
- 2+ years collaborating with team members on SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS performance tuning problems to resolution
- Working knowledge of deployments utilizing Database Projects, MS-ISPACs and DACPACs preferred
- Basic C# applied (non-academic) programming experience knowledge a plus
- Familiarity or experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory is a plus
- Experience with version control, preferably GIT
- Experience with work management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Experienced with troubleshooting complex problems
- Proficient in SDLC process and able to follow through the lifecycle of a process

Education/Experience:
- Relevant training in principles and techniques of database development and modeling. Be familiar with systems concepts, design, and standards. Provide expertise in software usage, functionality, performance, security, aesthetics, resilience, reuse, comprehensibility, and economic and technological tradeoffs.
- Bachelor s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline; or, 6-years equivalent work experience
- At least a BS/BA Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience working within an AGILE Scrum software development environment
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills in the English language
