The Product Quality & Applications Technician will play a key role in supporting customers with installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of our electric motors and controllers.
This is an in-office position, not remote or hybrid.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining detailed familiarity with ASI s Products and Technologies
- Troubleshooting electromechanical systems, including software, mechanical and electrical hardware, finished bikes to identify and remediate issues for customer/field failures as needed.
- Developing internal/external documentation
- customer returned product to identify and remediate issues
- Investigate and document recurring or trending product related issues to provide feedback and recommendations to management
- Initiating RMA s including analysis, testing, reporting to review with Applications leader
- Supporting product warranty program including warranty/RMA replacements, tracking and shipping to respective customers.
- Maintain all updates in Syteline, Excel and Salesforce.
- Maintain updates in Quality database listing all product failure modes and the associated root causes for each.
- Provide any quality or testing support as needed.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Technical Degree in electronic technician or similar preferred, other disciplines will be considered.
- 2+ years experience with motor controls
- Relevant experience with light electric vehicles, eBikes, outdoor power equipment or related applications and industries preferred.
- Understanding of basic Quality tools, reporting and analysis for in depth problem solving.
Competencies:
- Hands-on experience with wiring, installation and troubleshooting of electric vehicle control and traction systems.
- Strong customer focus with a sense of urgency and ability to work with tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
