As a Contract Cost/Price Analyst, you will:
- Provide Cost/Price reviews of financial assistance applications and awards to support obligation of federal funds and administration of awards in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Analyze budgeted costs against project objectives and entity financial management capabilities. Complete a detailed review of the direct and indirect cost elements of material, labor, overhead, travel, general and administrative expenses, subcontract costs, and other direct costs which extend over the life of the award.
- Review information from entities with limited cost accounting experience and/or complex interdivisional relationships and for research and development, demonstration, and/or deployment projects.
- Assist in the closeout of financial assistance awards by coordinating and analyzing cost-incurred and closeout audits; developing a final cost recommendation of the allowable costs incurred; and negotiating and recommending final cost settlements.
- Provide advice and guidance to Contracting Officers and other DOE personnel on specific indirect pricing matters, Cost Accounting Standards and accounting practices, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Financial Accounting Standard Board related matters, and cost estimating tools.
- Provide training to DOE personnel covering a broad range of techniques, issues, and new developments related to Cost/Price.
