What will I do in this position if hired?
In this position, you will provide direction to a team who supports internal and external customers through the software requirements development and testing and analysis of new and existing software used in providing disaster assistance. Typical assignments include:
- Providing technical supervision necessary to accomplish the work of the unit.
- Performing supervisory functions (administrative and human resource management functions) for the assigned staff.
- Providing project management support for the team in projects that support evaluating and implementing innovativesolutions to emergent needs.
- Collaborating with peers to establish processes and support division leadership

Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
