- Oversees the release of Classified Military Information (CMI) or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) products and data originated at USSOUTHCOM, USSOCOM, and SOCSOUTH to representatives of foreign governments and international organizations.
- Provides foreign disclosure guidance and recommendations to the SOCSOUTH Commander, directors, special staff, and components in accordance with U.S. and DoD policies and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD).
- As Subject Matter Expert, assists in the development of SOCSOUTH staff position on issues related to national intelligence disclosure and exchange policies.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the preparation, implementation, and management of SOCSOUTH foreign disclosure policies and procedures.
- Provides timely and concise approvals for the disclosure of information to foreign entities in support of the SOCSOUTH Commander mission and priorities and USSOUTHCOM’s theater strategy.
- Implements national disclosure guidance to SOCSOUTH military operations, including vetting Classified Military Information (CMI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) products for day-to-day operations and crisis operations.
- Represents SOCSOUTH in the foreign disclosure community and interacts and supports SOCSOUTH component commands.
- Provides training to Foreign Disclosure Representatives to ensure the proper implementation of foreign disclosure policy.
- Coordinates with other Foreign Disclosure Officers/agencies when requesting the release/disclosure of their information in support of Special Operations missions.
