Staff Level Product Engineer (Medical Devices)

Job Title: Sr./Staff Level Product Engineer

Contract: 6+ Months

Location : San Carlos, CA to start and then later in San Jose, CA

Job Description:

Responsibiiites:

• CAD, iterate and prototype devices, test fixtures, manufacturing fixtures
• Perform thorough root cause analysis on unexpected failures
• Derive design requirements, failure modes, design outputs, risk controls
• Document test protocols, test reports and elements of the design history file

Requirements:

• 5-8+ years of experience in medical device
• Able to mentor in creating complex components and assemblies in CAD -Solidworks
• Able to mentor in design for manufacturing and fabrication methods
• Able to mentor in DOE, root cause analysis and characterization studies
• Able to mentor in cross-functional collaboration
• Able to mentor in project management activities for development
• B.S, M.S of Phd in mechanical, material science, and/or biomedical engineering
