- The duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising subordinates more than 25% of the time including, but not limited to, recruitment, selecting, appraising, rewarding, addressing performance problems, and fostering an inclusive workplace.
- Ensure that proper and timely attention is devoted to high level, high priority, urgent and/or controversial issues, problems, situations, or information requests.
- Researches, analyzes and writes materials relating to program issues, or those for which there is no clear program definition.
- Prepares speeches and talking points for the Deputy Administrator and Associate Deputy Administrator as needed.
- Monitors status of actions of interest to the Chief of Staff and provides status reports in various forms.
- Elicits cooperation and participation from staff and other resources contributing to action tasks, written products, and reports developed on behalf of the Chief of Staff.
- Develops agenda, coordinates input and preparation of necessary background materials, and monitors status of action in response to decisions made.
- Advises officials in the Office of the Deputy Administrator as well as staff across all program lines on policy development, operational planning, and day-to-day management of headquarters operations.
Starting at $103,409 Per Year (GS 13)
