  • You will prepare and analyze work to meet radiological coverage schedules on a daily or weekly basis, designating areas and components to be monitored, stations to be manned, and providing other general pre-assignment orientation as required.
  • You will prepare or direct the preparation of all reports and other required radiological control documents related to work assignments.
  • You will serve as senior radiological control representative on tasks or work groups comprised of various levels of Production supervisors and technical code representatives.
  • You will conduct continuous surveillance of work involving radiological controls and radioactive materials to ensure adherence to establish policies, procedures, and sound radiological control concepts.
  • You will exercise both indirect and technical supervision over military subordinates for technical radiological control work.
  • You will coordinate work with other first line supervisors within the division to ensure proper radiological coverage in all assigned areas and to work out job priorities and procedures to be used where overlap occurs.
  • You will provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring of junior Radiological Control Technicians (RCT) at their worksites and be responsible for developing RCTs to their full potential.
  • You will plan work, set priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work, and assign work to subordinates.
  • You will improve work methods and procedures used to produce work products and advising on methodologies to use in achieving work goals and objectives.
  • You will provide on-scene radiological control responses for actual or potential radiological emergencies.
