Job Description:
MEI is seeking a talented and experienced VDC Manager to join our dynamic team and lead our virtual design and construction efforts. The VDC Manager will oversee the implementation and management of virtual design and construction processes, ensuring the integration of digital technologies to enhance project delivery. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and a deep understanding of construction methodologies to drive efficiency, collaboration, and innovation across projects. This position can be based in Phoenix, Arizona, or Austin, Texas.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate VDC methodologies into project planning and execution.
- Develop and maintain 3D models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Evaluate and implement new VDC technologies and software to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Promote the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other digital tools to improve project visualization, coordination, and communication.
- Ensure all VDC activities comply with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of VDC processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs to enhance the VDC skills of project teams and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating new knowledge into the company's VDC framework.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in VDC/BIM management within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in VDC/BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
