Job Responsibilities

• Implement and manage cloud security solutions including firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, or similar), IAM, data encryption methods (AES-256, RSA encryption), and SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK Stack, or similar).
• Manage and maintain Hyper-V and VMware hypervisor environments.
• Build and provision secure servers according to defined standards and best practices.
• Utilize scripting languages (Python, Java) for automation tasks.
• Participate in SOC operations, monitoring security events and responding to incidents.
• Design implement, and maintain a secure cloud and on-premise infrastructure
• Design and procure datacenter hardware and software with a proven track record of delivering cost-effective solutions that meet security and performance requirements.
• Configure and maintain IDS/IPS systems (Snort, Suricata, or similar) to detect and prevent security threats.
• Conduct compliance audits for frameworks like ISO 27001 and SOC 2
• Interact with client personnel to identify and analyze continuous improvement through automation upgrades
• Responsible primarily for planning, coordinating, and executing company technical processes from the beginning to the end.
• Manage the activities of on-site project resources; define detailed plan necessary to complete approved projects on schedule and within budget; support testing and commissioning activities; ensure the deliverable is technically and functionally correct.
• Provide facilitation, leadership, mentoring and coaching to enhance the team s general capability.
• Direct and deploy resources that support internal and customer requirements for the delivery of services
• Oversee administrative and operational processes that ensure the right engineers are available to successfully complete scheduled and specialty project requests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT security with a focus on cloud and/or on-premise infrastructure.
• Experience with services like IAM, S3, VPC, and EC2), Azure (including experience with services like Azure AD, Azure Storage, Virtual Networks, and VMs), and GCP (including experience with services like IAM, Cloud Storage, VPC, and Compute Engine).
• At least 5 years of experience or VMware environments
• delivering cost-effective solutions that meet security and performance requirements.
• Experience in server hardening techniques.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS systems (Snort, Suricata, or similar)
• Experience using python for automation tasks
• Managed cloud security solutions including firewalls
• Certifications Preferred:
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification.
  • Cloud platform certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect)
• Flexibility to travel is required
