- Manages branch personnel resources to effectively and efficiently perform requested analytical tasks in alignment with the EGS Program’s priorities. Integrates and coordinates with program representatives for direction when priority conflicts arise.
- Develops, analyzes, and evaluates long-range plans for the Branch supervised. Routinely communicates with program representatives to provide updated status of ongoing critical analysis tasks.
- Analyzes, coordinates, and integrates the Engineering Analysis Technical Authority position for the discipline area with regards to a number of complex program elements in current and future Programs.
- Serves as expert technical management consultant and adviser to Engineering Analysis Discipline related activities in areas such as technology development and commercialization activities at a NASA center.
- Develops and implements policies. Oversees the development of trend analysis, process analysis, control policies, and requirements for the engineering analysis technical authority related to their assigned Discipline area.
- Serves as the Center, Program and NASA representative in engineering analysis issues for the development of space flight systems; assures support contractors technical proficiency and compliance.
- Initiates investigations and risk-management studies to find solutions to critical problems in areas such as resources analysis, technical management systems, technical engineering operations management, or configurations management.
- Monitors the design and development of advanced technology for the center; initiates and facilitates technology transfer activities; and directs surveillance and audit activities; reviews and verifies the performance of work by the Contractor.
- Performs a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
