As a Public Affairs Specialist, you will:

  • Manage, administer, and lead the DFC Outreach and Events Program.
  • Develop and implement internal policies/procedures for the management and control of events to ensure external communications are appropriately aligned with operational targeting efforts.
  • Work across the organization to lead in planning small to large-scale events (whether in-person, virtual, or hybrid) by managing venue selections, event logistics, speaker preparation and recruitment, organizational coordination, run-of-shows, event checklists, staffing plans, logistics plans, talking points, and briefers.
  • Brief and prepare CEO and senior leadership for high level events including instructing on event logistics and inform detailed content of event discussion.
  • Assist with managing long-term strategies for engagement goals that support the priorities.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key external stakeholders in the finance, investment, national security, foreign policy, interagency, diplomatic, think tank, NGO, private sector, thought leader, and policymaking community.
  • Provide expert counsel to senior leadership on public affairs matters, ensuring communication efforts are coherent and strategically targeted to advance the agency's objectives and manage its reputation.
  • Coordinate across teams and other departments such as legislative affairs, communications, and transaction teams to ensure seamless execution of events and integrated communication efforts.
