As a Program Analyst (Medical Programs), you will:
- Monitor and audit requirements of the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners, analyzing the results, developing briefing papers, preparing comprehensive program reports and other documents.
- Prepare position, scientific, and other papers, interpretations, and correspondence about driver health and physical qualifications that are used in legal and regulatory analyses, public notices and agency programs and activities.
- Respond to inquiries from the motor carrier industry, state enforcement agencies, FMCSA field offices, Congressional offices, the medical community, and the public concerning the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, with an emphasis on inquiries related to the National Registry.
- Monitor procurement activities as the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative responsible for ensuring compliance with technical requirements, providing technical direction, and approving monthly invoices, contract renewals and modifications, etc.
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of complex administrative and program operations in meeting goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced professional with policy development or rulemaking experience and strong research, writing, and project management skills with an interest in performing mission-driven work to improve safety.
Starting at $86,962 Per Year (GS 12-13)
