As a Personnel Security Specialist (Suitability), you will:
- Serve as a Personnel Security Specialist (Suitability) with Naval Reactors with specialization in suitability adjudication which includes granting, extending, transferring, upgrading, downgrading or terminating clearances.
- Perform adjudication activities within the Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) program.
- Execute programmatic and operational activities associated with, but not limited to, the automation of processes; communicating and coordinating with cognizant sites; conducting surveys in all personnel security program topical elements and providing guidance and expert knowledge regarding suitability cases and actions to other Personnel Security Specialists and Analysts.
- Direct and develop plans for project teams; analyzes and evaluates line program operations.
- Implement new or modified program/management policies, regulations, goals and objectives.
- Serve as senior staff analyst and advisor in direct support of Department objectives.
- Develop management tools for self-assessments related to personnel security.
