- Study and interpret plans, Army regulations, directives and etc. to develop installation plans
- Develop operation plans for contingencies affecting JBLM or occurring within the continental United States.
- Perform and oversee the preparation, review and maintenance of long range, special and alternate plans.
- Coordinate plans with other military command and staff officials, federal, state and local civil authorities to obtain technical guidance and assistance so plans meet anticipated requirements.
- Coordinate development and execution of installation training exercises.
- Prepare local regulations and exercise plans.
- Perform and oversee the preparation, review and maintenance of long range, special and alternate plans.
- Monitors and reviews staff and command plans and preparations for continuity of efforts and removal of conflict between elements.
- Perform preliminary research and determines procedures for collection, analysis and evaluation of data pertinent to or affecting military or civil plans for military support during disasters or emergencies.
- Review supporting plans from subordinate installations and tactical units to ensure that they are current, approved, published, distributed and exercised as required.
