Joining Customs & Border Protection will allow you to use your expertise in Information Technology principles, concepts and methods to support Information Technology systems and services. This position starts at a salary of $117,962.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $153,354.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
In this Lead Information Technology Specialist position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals providing support and guidance on Information Technology systems and services. Typical work assignments include:
- Leading and/or performing technical and analytical work pertaining to acquisition, testing, integration, installation, utilization, maintenance or modification of Information Technology (IT) systems, facilities, services and procedures.
- Investigating, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats by gathering and examining vulnerability data from a variety of cyber security tools and resources to identify possible threats to network, system, hardware, and application security.
- Installing, configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting, customer hardware and software to maximize system availability.
- Planning and performing difficult and complex assignments; recommending new methods, approaches and procedures.
- Leading teams in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques, providing advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assisting the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution.
