You will serve as an Electronics Engineer (Cyber) and be responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight for the design, validation, and service delivery of electronic systems and sensors deployed across the USCG's fleet of cutters and small boats. Your technical expertise will be relied on for advising and enabling the acquisition, integration, and full-rate production of systems directly impacting operational USCG missions around the globe.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
- Implementing and integrating system development life cycle methodologies to design hardware, operating systems, and software applications consistent with technical specifications to address user requirements.
- Developing and supporting system testing and evaluation activities and direct remediation efforts for technical challenges.
- Enabling configuration management processes by developing design, interface, implementation, and maintenance documentation.
- Supporting acquisition planning and execution with market and user requirement analysis, technical evaluation, and product recommendation.
A. Federal Acquisition Certifications will be required in accordance with the Command Unit Training List or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.
