Medical Director/Administrative Duties
1. Provides direct administrative and professional supervision for Psychiatrists, APRNs' and PA's in the Mental Health Service.
2. Will work as a member of the Mental Health Executive Team to support clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and administrative needs under the supervision of the Chief, Mental Health Service.
3. Provides clinical and administrative leadership across all assigned program areas of the Mental Health Service.
4. Works with the Program Managers to develop policies and procedures.
5. Assists in the recruitment of psychiatrists and other disciplines.
6. The Chief, Mental Health Service may assign additional duties based on the needs of the Mental Health Service
7. In conjunction with participating universities and institutions will develop and oversee academic rotations for trainees at all levels of education.
8. May collaborate with VISN or National committees and workgroups
9. Must be eligible to become a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at Wright State University.
General Duties Psychiatrists' duties may involve several aspects of psychiatry and will focus on the evaluation and treatment of Veterans who suffer from a variety of mental health conditions including, but not limited to, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, dementia, substance use disorders, and other related conditions.
Psychiatrists are responsible for assessing the patients' needs, developing a comprehensive collaborative care plan, and delivering high-quality evidence-based mental health care. The psychiatrists are also responsible for documenting care provided in the agency's electronic medical record within the required timeframe.
Staff psychiatrists shall be responsible for inpatient, outpatient or residential care, graduate and undergraduate medical education, and scientific research, as appropriate.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, tour will be discussed during interview
