Major Duties include:
- Passing on to other workers the instructions received from supervisors and getting work started, e.g., by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led.
- Performs installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring systems, related switches, distribution panels, and outlet boxes.
- Inspects, maintains, cleans, repairs, tests, and adjusts a wide variety of electrical fixtures, tools, and appliances.
- Installs, recognizes causes of faulty equipment, and makes uncomplicated repairs on a variety of small domestic and commercial heating, furnaces, refrigeration and air conditioning units and systems.
- Performs preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specification.
- Constructs, alters, repairs, or modifies items and structures such as frame work, doors, finished paneling, windows, interior and exterior trim, forms, and siding.
- Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and repair work.
- Performs digging tasks for uncovering lines and selects proper tools for repairs of such.
- Performs welding duties using electric and wire feed, acetylene and/or inert gas shielded welding processes to weld various types of metal.
