Temporary Graphic Designer

20-30 hours per week

THIS IS NOT A WORK FROM HOME POSITION

The Graphic Designer will work within the FC Dallas Marketing Department in the creation of content for FC Dallas and North Texas SC, concerts and events put on by Toyota Stadium, Toyota Soccer Complex, MoneyGram Soccer Park, Frisco Bowl, and National Soccer Hall of Fame, and other affiliates.

Working under the direction of the Marketing Leadership, this designer will be responsible for supporting and helping shape the development of concepts, designs, and production of a variety of projects relating to sales generation (single-match sales, partial plans, group sales and season ticket memberships), partners (client presentations, game presentation, community events), and fan engagement (social media, billboards, in-stadium).

Each candidate must provide an online design portfolio for review. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

What You'll Do

  • Conceptualize and generate distinctive graphics through multiple platforms (i.e., online, in-stadium, print, social media, outdoor, broadcast, partners, client presentations, etc.)
  • Work with key members of marketing team to ensure FC Dallas brand standards are represented properly with approved imagery and messaging.
  • Assist with department process management/job queue by sustaining a timely progression on projects.
  • Assist with large corporate initiative projects (i.e., campaigns, re-brands, uniform design)
  • Responsible for identifying needs and provide creative solutions to internal stakeholders.
  • Incorporate branded campaign elements throughout multiple executions including a variety of creative projects such as advertisements, brochures, corporate identity, packaging, presentations, promotional displays, and signage.
  • Retouch and edit high resolution imagery.
  • Develop digital illustrations for logos, presentations, and multimedia projects.
  • Responsible for the design, layout, and formatting of digital and hard materials.
  • Provide developmental resources to other content team members through skill-share and collaboration.
  • Ensure all artwork produced meets the needs, requirements and brand standards of the organization and each client.
  • Communicate with outside vendors as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison effectively with clients, and other team members.
  • All other duties as assigned.

You Are

  • Artistic and possess strong technical, written, and verbal skills to communicate with internal or external clients and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects throughout the design process.
  • Deadline-driven and can work in a fast-paced environment, high energy environment
  • Capable of ensuring all artwork produced meets the needs, requirements and brand standards of the organization and each client.
  • Able to work independently, as well as collaborate within a team.
  • Adept at giving and receiving constructive feedback with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willing to work nights, weekend, and occasional irregular hours in different weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of professional design experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree required in Graphic Design or related field.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and knowledge of the print production process.
  • Strong knowledge of layout, print, prepress, digital, and typography fundamentals.
  • Motion Graphics experience required and Photography a plus.
  • Understanding of environmental graphics, signage production and materials a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus.
