Contract To Hire, Salary Range $95,000 - $130,000 Salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

The Senior Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for providing technical support for the database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the databases.

The Senior DBA will work with architecture, application development and operations during the design, development and implementation of applications. This SQL DBA will train and develop technical support and applications staff to better utilize the Microsoft DBMS product stack. The Senior DBA will work with T-SQL code to enhance stored procedures, triggers, functions, tables, and constraints

Primary Responsibilities of the Remote Sr. SQL Database Administrator Job:

Interact with Software Development Team to architect, design, and implement SQL solutions to support applications.

Participate in the design and implementation of deployment strategies for in-house developed applications.

Responsible for activities associated with the management and operation of database platforms: implementing data models and designs, creating database tables, indexes, triggers and views to support new and existing applications, monitoring database size and performance, tuning SQL queries, creating support documentation, and production support.

Participate in application and reporting project initiatives.

Assist the Infrastructure team in disaster recovery and high availability initiatives.

Provide on-call support as needed.

Support our database server environments, participate in data migration efforts, and facilitate the creation of policies and procedures.

Provides knowledge coordination and administration of the data repository, monitoring business models, advising on data issues and accepting models from the strategy and analysis phase of all major projects.

Provide management and support for all SQL 2005 / 2008 / 2012 servers.

Creates relevant technical design documentation

Ensures that all parties are informed of plans, progress and status of assigned projects

Minimum Education and Experience:

Must have 4+ years of experience as Database Administrator

Must have a solid foundation in programming concepts and database structures

Must have sound communication and team working skills

Bachelor's Degree in CIS/CSE/MIS, or equivalent experience

Technical certifications are a plus (MCITP, MCTS:SQL Server)
