SM to cover two teams that do not have an SM currently

The Scrum Master helps build high-performing teams by providing support with product delivery utilizing a deep understanding of Agile principles and team dynamics. The Agile Delivery Principal teaches the team Agile practices, facilitates Scrum ceremonies, and shields the team from external distractions. The Agile Delivery Principal brings the Product Owner and the team together and helps them understand each other’s roles and key objectives. This individual is also a personal coach for team members and an innovator who constantly seeks continuous improvement. In the Agile Delivery Principal role you may work as a Scrum Master and/or Release Train Engineer (RTE).

Qualifications

• 5+ years Scrum Master experience
• Certified Scrum Master and/or SAFe Scrum Master certifications preferred
• Delivery or software development background
• Experience in Agile principles and managing teams/dynamics

Responsibilities

Builds high performing teams who produce successful deliverables and work effectively via individual and team coaching

Strengthens the team’s understanding of Agile / Scrum principles and ensure application of these practices

Ensures the team’s actions are aligned with the goals and vision

Brings transparency to Business, IT, and Operations organizations about the team’s progress and Agile processes

Identifies trade-offs between short and long-term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and Product Owner

Monitors Scrum processes and supports Product Owner on release planning and backlog management

Fosters a continuous learning environment, helping teams adapt to changing circumstances

PERFORMANCE DETAILS

1. What’s the major objective(s) of the role? Specifically, what does this person need to do to be considered a success? What will they be working on?

Being the scrum master for 2 teams, facilitating all ceremonies, removing impediments leading continuous improvement and maturing the teams, helping the teams adopt CI/CD, DevOps, Automation. High level financial reporting. Gain an understanding of the work of the team and how work gets done within the team to be able to ask questions to improve performance and ensure the team is accountable for its commitments.
