Hardware Category Manager (Manufacturing) - Remote

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Hardware Category Manager (Manufacturing) - Remote for our premier client.

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
• 1015 years of category management and product management experience, with a strong focus on the hardware industry.
• Proven expertise in working with reseller and distribution environments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of hardware product categories, supply chain dynamics, and market trends.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Technical Proficiency:

• Proficiency in category management tools and systems.
• Familiarity with ERP and procurement platforms is an advantage.

WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for major hardware components that align with business goals.
• Manage category lifecycle, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and service standards.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the hardware space.

Vendor and Supplier Relationship Management:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with hardware vendors, resellers, and distributors.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve optimal terms for pricing, delivery, and service levels.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and performance metrics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies for hardware products.
• Provide training and support to internal teams to enhance product knowledge and customer engagement.
• Work closely with product management, procurement, and operations teams to align category strategies with overall business objectives.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to category performance, cost savings, and supplier performance.
• Analyze and optimize inventory levels to meet demand forecasts and minimize costs.
• Continuously evaluate sourcing strategies to ensure alignment with evolving business needs.
