Job Title : Senior QA Automation Engineer

Duration: 6 Months (with possible extension)

Senior QA Automation Engineer

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of our software applications. With your extensive experience in Selenium and Cucumber, you will lead efforts to enhance our automation framework and drive quality improvements across our projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber to ensure comprehensive test coverage and early defect detection.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the automation framework, incorporating best practices and the latest technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop detailed test plans and execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report issues to the development team for timely resolution.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers, to understand requirements, develop test strategies, and ensure seamless integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Monitor and analyze test results, identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable insights to enhance product quality and performance.

Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 4 years focused on test automation using Selenium and Cucumber.
  • Proficiency in Java or other programming languages commonly used with Selenium. Experience with other test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and integrating automated tests into the build and deployment pipeline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
