We are assisting our client in hiring a contract to hire Junior Project Manager in Plymouth, MN. As the Store Experience – Junior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the brand presence and driving sales through determined strategic cross functional collaboration and project management efforts. Your primary responsibility is to guide and coordinate the Store Experience team while fostering cross-functional collaboration to enhance the store experience. Working closely with the Visual Merchandising Manager and the Store Experience Director, your data-informed decisions, informed by sales analytics and comparisons, will optimize product placement and overall improve the customer experience. As a proactive and results-driven individual, you will take ownership of project coordination, store compliance reporting, help/service desk inquiries, and maintain department databases with accurate and up to date information. Your innate ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including construction, purchasing, and other departments, will create a dynamic work environment and drive impactful results throughout the company.

CONTRACT TO HIRE

HYBRID - 3 days in office and 2 days working remotely.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management and Leadership:

  • Coordinate and lead visual merchandising projects from conception to completion.
  • Manage project timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment among all project stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to determine the effectiveness of visual merchandising strategies and identify areas for improvement. Develop Project De-brief presentations to be shared with Leadership team.

Partnerships and Budget Management:

  • Collaborate closely with leadership team to cultivate department strategies that align with companywide initiatives.
  • Support partnerships and create efficiencies with various departments, including marketing, store operations, sales, purchasing, construction, design, IT, and training, to support and improve visual merchandising processes and programs. Foster collaboration to drive successful visual merchandising initiatives.
  • For each initiative employee oversees, develops and manages the Capex budget optimizing resource allocation and proper reporting.

Visual Merchandising and Compliance:

  • Manage project management software the team utilizes to maintain project status.
  • Update management on store compliance through store compliance software.
  • Update stores on price changes and status changes.
  • Review store requests and order items as needed.
  • Maintain store display stock through third-party vendors (portal).
  • Conduct store visits to assess the implementation of Visual Merchandising standards and planograms.
  • Perform regular in person audits to ensure compliance and provide constructive feedback to the team.
  • Evaluate store experience consistency and receive feedback from store teams on POGs and other Visual Merchandising initiatives.
  • Determine store remodel needs, order items as needed, and communicate changes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in visual merchandising/related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in project management.
  • Ability to abide by the company’s hybrid work model 3 days in office and 2 days working remotely.
  • Must be flexible with coming into the office on work from home days pending deadlines and other factors.
  • Ability to travel to stores up to 25% of the year in various markets around the country.
  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds
  • You’ve been known to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adept at both analytical and creative thinking.
  • Computer and system savvy.
  • Programs we use; IWD, Monday.com, SAP, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite, WFX
  • Strong eye for relevant and brand-appropriate products.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and lead collaboration to improve processes.
  • Demonstrates sense of ownership and proactivity in taking charge of areas of expertise to drive change and improvement.
