Summary

The Marketing Manager is the driving force behind all marketing initiatives. From assisting in planning to execution, this role oversees a diverse range of marketing activities, including social media strategy/ campaigns, event planning, and the implementation of in-theatre promotions. With a keen eye for detail and strong project management skills, the Marketing Manager ensures that promotions are delivered on time.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Works with the CMO to establish goals and objectives for each project; manages project timelines to ensure deadlines are met
  • Navigates rapid changes and fast-paced environments, ensuring projects stay on track and deliver results efficiently
  • Manages Basecamp, Asana, and SharePoint
  • Communication of project timelines to all internal and external stakeholders

Promotion Planning & Execution

  • Manages email and newsletter processes and outlines, reviews, and approves emails
  • Proof-reads creative and outgoing marketing
  • Orders supplies and materials as needed
  • Manages organic social media channels and digital marketing
  • Leads ambassador program
  • Assists with event planning; creates run of show and ensures smooth execution
  • Assists the CMO in the management of the Marketing AOR team; effectively communicates and provides support to AORs and theater management; attends meetings, takes notes, and places action items into Basecamp

Other duties

  • Other duties may be assigned by the CMO that are determined necessary to carry out the goals of Marketing Operations successfully

Education And/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business marketing or related field. Three to five years’ experience in marketing or related field.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Work hours could be 45 plus hours a week.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Emagine has been named “Best Theater to See a First Run Movie” by Hour Magazine consecutively for the past 9 years.

Emagine is a recognized innovator in the theatrical exhibition industry having been the first theatre chain in the world to convert to 100% digital projection. In 1997, Cinema Hollywood (now Emagine Birch Run) was the first theatre in Michigan to open with all stadium seating. Emagine was the first to introduce 4K projection to the Detroit market and it boasted three of the first 100 Dolby Atmosimmersive sound systems deployed worldwide. On December 15, 2017, Emagine began operating the largest movie screen in the State of Michigan with the opening of its Super EMX auditorium (featuring laser projection technology) at its megaplex in Novi, Michigan and on December 19, 2019, Emagine opened the largest CinemaScope screen in the Midwest at its Emagine Canton/Westland location. Paul Glantz, Chairman of Emagine Entertainment, has been interviewed on CNN concerning his views and opinions on the operation of luxury theatres. On February 28, 2018, Emagine Entertainment, Inc. and 7-time BET Award-winning and Grammy nominated superstar Big Sean (Sean Anderson), announced their joint venture agreement to develop, Sean Anderson Theatre, powered by Emagine, a world class cinematic and live music entertainment center in Detroit (and potentially at other sites around the U.S., as well. The new partnership is actively scouting prospective sites in Detroit.
