This is an outstanding opportunity that will allow a Manager of Azure DevOps to expand their experience by managing, designing and building out a greenfield end-to-end enterprise level Azure environment to handle new products and extreme product growth utilizing bleeding edge technologies

We are a Global Biotech Company in its niche is looking for an Azure DevOps Manager. The company has been in business for 50+ years, is publicly traded, has 6+K global employees, has $5.2B in revenues (16% increase over FY 2023), $108 million in profits (44% increase over FY 2023), has 750 product patents, released 9 new products in 2023 and is an active philanthropic institution.

The Azure DevOps Manager will supervise a team of Azure DevOps Engineers. The Azure DevOps Manager will:

  • In collaboration with engineering and infrastructure management, review, analyze and assess the current architecture and development environment
  • Company is in the very early stages of adopting a DevOps practice and implementing Azure. The Azure DevOps Manager will be responsible for designing the roadmap and begin the more complex configurations and initial deployments of Azure DevOps tools.
  • Guide and mentor DevOps staff on the philosophical and technical aspects of Azure DevOps Engineering and CI/CD.
  • Ensure that the DevOps department is fully utilizing the Azure DevOps suite of products to best suite the needs of the engineering and infrastructure departments.
  • Hiring additional Azure DevOps Engineers as applications and developers continue migration to Azure
  • Be held accountable for relentlessly staying abreast of and performing research on the industries latest bleeding edge technologies and emerging trends and making proposals to showcase their application to the company s architecture
  • Technology Stack: AzureDevOps, Docker/Docker Compose for containerization, Kubernetes/AKS for orchestration, Helm Charts, NuGet for Package Management, JFrog for Artifact Management, Azure Security, Azure Governance, Jira, GitHub Actions, GitHub, Azure Synapse Analytics, YAML and Python Scripting.

The Azure DevOps Manager reports to the Director of Engineering

Requirements:

  • Must have 1+ years experience leading, supervising or managing Azure DevOps Engineers
  • Must have 3-5+ years of Azure DevOps Engineering; preferably building out an Azure DevOps environment from the ground up
