Job Summary:

The Oracle IT Support Coordinator is responsible for providing technical support, coordination, and troubleshooting assistance for Oracle applications and databases within the organization. This role ensures the smooth operation of Oracle systems by acting as a liaison between IT, vendors, and business users, and provides timely solutions to issues while adhering to best practices and service level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oracle System Support:
    • Provide first and second-level support for Oracle applications, databases, and systems.
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Oracle applications (e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud, and Oracle ERP).
    • Work closely with Oracle vendors for advanced troubleshooting and patches.
    • Assist in performance tuning, data recovery, and database optimization.
  2. Coordination & Communication:
    • Act as the main point of contact between business users and IT regarding Oracle systems.
    • Coordinate with different teams (development, network, and infrastructure) to ensure timely resolution of Oracle-related issues.
    • Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and external Oracle vendors/consultants.
    • Document, track, and update incident and change requests using IT service management software.
  3. System Monitoring & Maintenance:
    • Monitor Oracle systems' performance to ensure uptime and stability.
    • Manage daily system checks, backups, and batch processes.
    • Coordinate regular system maintenance, patches, and upgrades with minimal disruption to users.
  4. User Training & Documentation:
    • Provide end-user training on Oracle systems and applications.
    • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, user guides, and support manuals.
    • Ensure knowledge transfer between IT team members.
  5. Project Coordination:
    • Assist with Oracle-related IT projects, including system implementations, migrations, and integrations.
    • Ensure proper project timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met.
  6. Compliance & Security:
    • Ensure Oracle systems comply with the organization s security policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in audit activities and implement security patches when necessary.
  7. Vendor Management:
    • Manage vendor relationships, including contracts and service agreements related to Oracle products and services.
    • Liaise with Oracle s technical support team when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in IT support, with at least 2 years supporting Oracle systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud, Oracle ERP).
    • Experience in database administration or ERP support is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Oracle database systems, SQL, and PL/SQL.
    • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle ERP, or Oracle Cloud platforms.
    • Familiarity with IT service management tools
    • Understanding of system integration and data migration.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
