This role will be located in our HQ in Austin, TX. Our office is spacious, centrally located, dog friendly and always stocked with snacks and cold brew on tap! We offer a hybrid work model, where Billders are able to work from home on Friday.

The Role

Billd is seeking a Collections Associate who will be responsible for managing the Account Receivable portfolio of Billd customers. Success in the role will be measured through the successful collection of overdue receivables while simultaneously providing a high level of customer support and satisfaction.

The role requires a talented, customer-centric and highly driven professional. A successful employee is extremely comfortable interacting with clients via phone, email, and text message. You take pride in the accuracy of your work and provide detailed summaries on a daily basis on your work progress. You have a keen desire to build experience within a B2B lender with an impressive growth trajectory. You have a firm understanding of customer-relationship best practices, finance-related concepts, and the commercial construction industry.

What You'll Do

  • Provide a positive customer experience for Billd subcontractors
  • Analyze and manage a dedicated Account Receivable portfolio
  • Forecast upcoming Account Receivable issues from the current subcontractor portfolio
  • Consistently follow up with past-due subcontractors to reconcile payment issues
  • Clearly communicate with Property Owners and General Contractors about existing Subcontractor payment issues/disputes
  • Provide weekly updates on Account Receivable portfolio aging & health to Management and other stakeholders (e.g Sales, Credit, Underwriting departments)
  • Actively participate in Departmental discussions and propose improvement opportunities and policy updates
  • Manage and maintain data integrity in Salesforce

Skills And Qualifications

  • Required 3-5 years experience in a Collections or Accounts Receivable role
  • Required 3-5 years of experience with Salesforce (or comparable CRM and ERP systems)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication & presentation skills
  • Preferred experience in Construction Industry
  • Preferred experience in startup/small business environment
