Our client is seeking a Technical Project Manager to focus on planning and managing deliverables for a specific set of initiatives, partnering closely with assigned Value Stream team in engineering to deliver key priorities for the year.

Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid Remote)
Length of Assignment: 3-6 month contract-to-hire

Summary:
You will be responsible for delivering complex projects on time, on budget, and meeting stakeholder objectives. This role involves identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks to ensure successful project delivery. The Project Manager will manage the execution of deliverables from initiation through to stabilization, control scope, execute the change management process when needed, and ensure timely resolution of risks and project roadblocks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage multiple simultaneous projects to meet the Value Stream s commitments.
  • Develop and actively manage project plans, schedules, risks, budgets, and resources to deliver program objectives.
  • Lead and direct matrixed project teams to deliver projects on time, budget, and scope.
  • Proactively identify project risks, roadblocks, and strategic issues that may impact the team s ability to meet goals.
  • Participate in and/or lead the development of key project deliverables (e.g., charter, project plan, issue logs, test plan, cutover plan, etc.).
  • Ensure upstream and downstream impacts are identified, communicated, and aligned from team members to senior leadership.
  • Adopt and execute existing rhythm of business meetings, including communications, meetings, status reports, and readouts to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Serve as an escalation point on risks, issues, and decisions, course-correcting as needed.
  • Create and monitor measures of success / KPIs for the program and projects.
  • Improve processes and collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve the entire project and service lifecycle.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in project management tools Microsoft Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Smartsheets, Confluence, Jira/Azure Dev Ops, or equivalent tools.
  • Extensive experience in documenting and maintaining project plans, risk/issue logs, action item logs, and other project management-related tools to help achieve project success.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity effectively and manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to drive projects across multiple programs, manage stakeholder expectations, and present project information.
  • Ability to explain technical or complex issues in non-technical ways.
  • Ability to deliver results while working with remote, virtual, and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Good presentation, meeting facilitation, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Capability to multi-task and be resourceful, adapting to changing requirements quickly while maintaining accountability.
  • Ability to build strong, sustainable relationships with diverse internal and external partners at all levels.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in project management at technology-based companies or in technical domains; experience with IT disaster recovery and/or cybersecurity is a plus.
  • BS/BA degree in a computer-related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software development (SDLC), agile and project lifecycles & methodologies, and other PM best practices; knowing when to use them effectively.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent preferred.

Estimated compensation for this role is between $50.00 and $75.00 per hour.
