(NAME), are you looking for a Revenue Cycle & Denial Management Specialist contract opportunity that would allow you to work remotely? This position involves vital revenue cycle functions such as determining the reasons behind claim rejections for Inpatient & Outpatient Surgery, and Emergency Department (ED) unpaid claims. Additionally, you will ensure that all necessary collections are made and accurately interpret the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to verify correct coding.

As a remote contract employee, you will work with a dynamic team based in Dallas, TX and enjoy a healthy work-life balance, competitive compensation, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Location: Dallas, TX (can be worked remotely)

Type: Contract, Remote

Start: September/October 2024

Position Duties:

  • Determine why claims are being rejected for Inpatient Surgery & Outpatient Surgery and ED unpaid claims.
  • Understand why source claims are having issues and what the different denials actually are and how to prevent them.
  • Ensure everything is being collected that should be.
  • Read the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and determine if coded correctly.

Qualifications:

  • Proven successful healthcare collection and denied claim management resolution experience.
  • Understanding the full cycle billing processes for facilities (hospital and clinic).
  • Experience with Inpatient Surgery & Outpatient Surgery and ED claims.
  • Bariatric surgery experience is a plus, but not a must.
  • Cerner experience is plus, but not a must.
