Job Title: Engineer, Systems IV (MCSE)

Location: Client Facility (Raleigh, NC or Remote)

Description: Highly specialized in one or more phases of software systems development, systems integration, or network engineering. Provides technical assistance and advice on complex activities. Formulates / defines specifications, develops / modifies / maintains complex systems and subsystems, using vendor engineering releases and utilities for overall operational systems. Applies analytical techniques when gathering information from users, defining work problems, designing technology solutions, and developing procedures to resolve the problems. Develops complete specifications to enable computer programmers to prepare required programs. Analyzes methods of approach. Reviews task proposal requirements, gathers information, analyzes data, prepares project synopses, compares alternatives, prepares specifications, resolves processing problems, coordinates work with programmers and engineers, and orients users to new systems. Works with considerable freedom to make decisions on the techniques and approaches to be used. Prepares recommendations for system improvement for management and user consideration. The services sought under this statement of work are intended to provide sufficient staffing to meet client business needs. The Supplier must provide IT professionals who will be capable of working both independently and as part of an existing Postal team. The services and deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

Network Engineer/Email Gateway Administration Note: Resource must be available to work onsite at client facility in Raleigh, NC or remote.

Required Skills:

Broadcom/Symantec Mail Gateway Experience

Strong technical knowledge of email systems, including Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and other platforms.

Proficiency in administering email servers, including configuring and managing user accounts, distribution lists, and email policies.

Solid understanding of email protocols, such as SMTP, POP, and IMAP.

Familiarity with email security best practices, including spam filtering, antivirus protection, and encryption.

Experience in troubleshooting email issues, diagnosing and resolving problems.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate email systems with other applications and platforms.

Excellent communication skills to provide technical support and guidance to end-users.

Proven ability to multi-task

Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service

Proven experience as an Email Administrator or a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.

Network and Log Analytics

Proficient with application layer protocols HTTP, SSH, SSL, etc.

Works on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program, and performs all functional duties independently.

Oversees the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Deliverables: Approach:

Configure, administer, document custom policies for Email administration

High level troubleshooting of network and application issues

Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases Activities will include:

Email Gateway Configuration: Responsible for configuring and maintaining email systems, policies, and rules for email traffic filtering and monitoring.

Security Management: The administrator is responsible for ensuring email security by managing email gateway security, identifying and mitigating email threats such as phishing attacks, spam, and malware.

Capacity Planning and Optimization: administrator must monitor email traffic and identify bottlenecks, plan and optimize the email gateway infrastructure for maximum efficiency and performance throughput.

Analytics and Monitoring: Responsible perform regular monitoring, logging, and reporting to track metrics such as email traffic, performance, and email gateway availability to ensure that SLAs are met.

Certifications:

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of thirteen (13) to twenty (20) years relevant experience.

A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred. four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a college degree is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field, then four additional years of related experience is required.
