The Senior Credentialing Specialist coordinates, administers and quality controls all aspects of the credentialing and privileging process for physicians and professional staff providers. Enters and maintains specialized applicant information into the centralized credential software application and coordinates the credentialing process for all respective entities. Ensures the credentialing process complies with organizational Medical Bylaws as well as accrediting agency, Federal, and State regulatory standards.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Credentialing Specialist to join our team. This position is remote working Monday through Friday, with shift options of 7am - 4pm, 7:30am-4:30pm, or 8am-5pm available.

How You'll Contribute

  • Liaison between Credentialing Team and Human Resources to coordinate onboarding & credentialing/privileging processes of all providers and GME programs (Residents/Fellows).
  • Responsible for Providers, Residents and Fellows Initial Credentialing & Re-credentialing for US Fertility Practices prior to start of employment/rotation.
  • QA provider credentialing files for pre-approval prior to presenting them to Credentialing Committee Meetings.
  • Monthly US Fertility Credentialing Committee Meeting duties include but are not limited to preparing, recording of meeting minutes, and post committee functions.
  • Prepares and tracks annual confidentiality agreements for Credentialing Committee.
  • Assists in provider file audits to remain in compliance with AAAHC, TJC, and AAAASF standards.
  • Responsible for submission of all NextGen provider add requests for US Fertility entities following Credentialing Committee approval.
  • Participates in overseeing credentialing database ensuring accurate and current information is available to all stakeholders.
  • Assists physicians with initial applications, modifications and renewal of state licensure, DEA and CDS.
  • Works on special projects as assigned by Credentialing Supervisor and performs other related duties as needed.

What You'll Bring

  • Requires a minimum of an Associate degree in healthcare with 5 or more years of credentialing and privileging experience.
  • Requires CPCS certification or obtained within 18 months of employment.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate effectively both orally and in writing with individuals at all levels both within and outside of the organization.
  • Knowledge and skills in using personal computers (Windows) with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Office Programs- Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of multiple State, Federal, and Local regulations.
  • Knowledge of AAAHC, TJC, and AAAASF accreditation and certification requirements.
