The Engineering Applications and Tools (EAT) team works within the Electric Operations Information Technology organization. The Analyst will report directly to the supervisor of the Engineering Applications and Tools team. The Analyst will work with cross functional group of stakeholders in operations and IT to deploy improvements of the technology used by operations teams. The main role of the Analyst will help with transitioning approximately 150 users from AutoCAD Map 3D to a Graphic Work Design (GWD) software called Automated Utility Design (AUD). The applicant is needed for additional frontline\first tier support for AUD. Responsibilities will include troubleshooting, root cause analysis, software configuration, and user interface\training.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide support to users transitioning to Automated Utility Design software, including:
- Troubleshoot issues with users.
- Create support documentation.
- Host regular calls with SMEs or larger audiences.
- Assist in the configuration of Automated Utility Design, including:
- Creation/modification of AutoCAD entities (blocks, etc)
- Modification of engineering analysis rules
- Modification of materials/CU databases
- Modification of GIS entity mapping schema
- Work with representatives from other companies to resolve complex issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD Intermediate Level or higher
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Automated Utility Design (AUD) or similar software.
- 5 years of experience with Electric Distribution systems
- Experience with GIS systems & integration with AutoCAD.
- Experience with integrations between AutoCAD & other business software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
