Cogir Senior Living is hiring an experienced, creative, and compassionate Connections Lifestyle Director (Program Director) in our premier senior living community Tribute at The Glen.

This position will create and implement daily life-enrichment activities and engagement strategies while creating a supportive living environment for the residents participating in the Cadence Connections program, a transitional program for Assisted Living with early-stage dementia. What will you do as a Connections Lifestyle Director?

  • Manages all aspects of the Connections Lifestyle Program.
  • Produce and coordinate the monthly newsletter.
  • Write articles for the newsletter with timely completion and delivery to the residents and responsible party/family members as applicable.
  • Responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly calendar of events and communicating daily with residents to keep them directed.
  • Ongoing weekly communication with resident family members.
  • One-on-one and group communication with each resident daily to support individual needs.
  • Organize resident and community volunteers.
  • Take residents on outings during the week, and occasionally in the evenings, and/or weekends.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Cadence Senior Living.

If You Have These Qualifications, We'd Love To Chat

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and leading life-enrichment activities for seniors in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), and Memory Care (MC) settings, is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in senior living, hospitality, or healthcare management is preferred.
  • An associate degree or higher in gerontology, COTA, CRTS, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with residents living with cognitive impairment (MCI / Early-stage dementia) is preferred.
  • Previous event planning experience is strongly preferred.
  • Creativity and passion for helping others along with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of various computer systems, particularly Excel, Word, and Canva.
  • Strong in initiative and good judgment; employing professional ethics; with a pleasant manner and the ability to motivate.
  • Ability to coordinate and conduct meetings.
  • Occasional evening and weekend availability.
