Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, remote sensing, or a related physical/biological/environmental/natural resource discipline
- At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in geospatial analysis and modeling
- Experience working with the U.S. Forest Service is required
- Must hold a GISP (Geographic Information Systems Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Demonstrated experience in project management, client maintenance, and supervision of geospatial/remote sensing projects
- Proven ability to assess priorities, balance workloads, and allocate staff resources effectively
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and successfully leading them to completion
- Strong skills in communicating project outcomes and developments, both in written reports and verbal presentations
- Master’s degree or PhD in geography, GIS, remote sensing, or related discipline
- Expertise in enterprise geospatial software applications such as Esri ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, eCognition, Summit Evolution, Agisoft Metashape, and Python
- Experience working with various sources of airborne or satellite imagery for geospatial projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams in complex geospatial projects and deliver advanced geospatial analysis and modeling solutions
