We are currently seeking a motivated and detail- oriented Mid-Level Cost Manager to join our dynamic team.

Position Summary:

As a Mid-Level Cost Manager at Palacio Collaborative, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely cost estimates for various projects. Your expertise in cost analysis, construction estimating, and communication will be essential in collaborating with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate Effectively: Work with architects, engineers, and clients to understand and incorporate project objectives, schedules, permits, and costs.
  • Develop Estimates: Produce precise and timely cost estimates, ensuring all project aspects are covered.
  • Review & Reconcile: Train for and conduct CM-at-risk estimate reviews and reconciliation efforts.
  • Client Interaction: Attend client meetings as required and provide necessary support.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with team members to complete estimates and work with other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in preparing complete cost estimates. Experience in Construction Management is preferred.
  • Certifications: Certifications in Estimating or related fields are a plus.

  • Technical Expertise: Advanced understanding of construction and engineering processes.
  • Mathematical Proficiency: Basic mathematical skills required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading architectural plans and specifications. Experience with Excel preferred.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with strong analytical abilities and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project Management: Good project management skills with the ability to handle a fast- paced environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel for client presentations if necessary. Mileage and fuel allowance with expense report.
  • Integrity: High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
